Century Arabian
Why it matters
Century tried something different with the Arabian. Where Chris Craft went classic, Century went space-age. The styling was polarizing — fins and scoops that belonged on a '59 Cadillac. But the hull performed, and the boats attracted buyers who wanted to stand out. The Arabian is Century's cult classic.

Patina notes
Arabian owners tend to be enthusiasts, so most survivors are well-maintained or restored. The distinctive styling means original details matter more — those fins need to be right. Finding one with honest patina rather than over-restoration takes patience.
Preservation reality
Arabians occupy a sweet spot: collectible enough to hold value, common enough to find. The Century community is active and parts availability is decent through specialty suppliers. A project Arabian can still be found under $20,000. The wild styling ensures they'll never be wallflowers at a boat show.
